Re: shn file and mkw audio compression |
are you sure you set up the MKW toolbox program up correctly? did you go to the file options and specify an output directory where the program should put the decoded .wav file?
if you can't get it to work, there are other programs that do the job of .shn > .wav but this one is really good at it... keep trying, you'll figure it out. maybe specificaly reply with the speicifc error message / problem you are having..

Re: shn file and mkw audio compression |
There is no specific error message that comes up. My problem is that it won't let me even drag the song file into mkw Audio Compression. I first downloaded some songs seperate from this concert and I could easily drag them into the Audio Compression and it converted the shn file into a .wav so that I could copy it onto a cd. Now I downloaded a whole show as one download and it won't let me drag the songs. The only thing that is different now is that I have to open up more folders to get to where the songs are. I guess I'll just download each song seperate instead of the whole concert at once.

Did you unzip the show first? Downloading whole shows in one click means you downloaded a zip file - you need to unzip the files first, then you can drag/drop.

Re: shn file and mkw audio compression |
In windows xp, just double click on it. Or, right click and drag/drop to a new location - the menu that pops up should say "extract" somewhere.

Re: shn file and mkw audio compression |
Thanks a lot for the help. It's fixed now but what I did was I right clicked on the folder (with the zipper on it) and hit "extract all" or "extract files" I can't remember but it's all good now so thanks!

Try Foobar2000 since mkw isn't working.
